Bubble Chatter

I wonder how and even why,

Fish don’t live up in the sky?

In air it’s easier to talk,

And also skip, and hop, and walk.

Underneath the water, speech in word,

Flies into bubbles and can’t be heard.

If fish can’t voice themselves at all,

What would happen if they fall,

Into seaweed or off a high reef

Without making sounds, they couldn't get relief?

So fish invented bubble chatter,

And if you want to learn about this matter,

Dive deep down then you'll hear what's new,

But, don't hold your breath until you're blue!
