nourishing: healthful; something that keeps our body and mind in good condition.
example: A nourishing breakfast before school makes learning easier.
glum​: sad, gloomy, not at all happy.
example: Just like the fog outside, I was feeling glum and disappointed that my parents couldn't drive me to my friends house because they couldn't see more than three feet ahead if they drove me there.
convince: able to change someone's opinion; talked into.
example: I told Julie I hated asparagus, but she convinced me to try them. Much to my surprise, I liked them.
