When Pencil Princess was a child, I’m afraid,

Computers had not been invented or made.
Then if you wrote with a pencil, not pen 

It was easier to change what you wrote again and again.

Today the entire world writes on a computer,
Change is fast as racing downhill on a scooter.

At first don't seek perfection, but rather be led

By the sparks of imagination flying around in your head.

Pencil Princess will serve as a reminder,

To look at your first draft a little bit kinder.
