quaint: unusual for the present; old fashion but charming.
example: The principal removed the quaint chalkboard and replaced it with a giant computer screen.
realm: area of responsibility or rule.
example: The kings and queens of England used to rule over a larger realm than they do today.
meter: the rhythm or beat of something like poetry or song.
example: The teacher said the meter of my poem was good.
mammal: a class of animals that give birth to their young live, as opposed to laying eggs.
example: I can’t believe that white-face bats and humans are both mammals!
