reflect: to direct attention to something that exists; to cast back, to mirror.

example:  Wolfing food down the minute I sit down to eat reflects poorly on the table manners I was taught.

tactful: being thoughtful and careful about what you say to others; caring not to upset or hurt another.

example: Ted didn't want to make the new kid at school uncomfortable, so he was tactful when asking him about his family.
