unique: not common, unusual.
example: Her Easter hat was quite unique, because it had a bird in a nest on top.
determined: having a great desire to do to something and having the drive to do it.
example: She was determined to finish the marathon even though her legs were cramping.
undershoot: to have a result that falls short of the goal.
example: Jim did not undershoot when making the goal for his history class a B, because the teacher was known to almost never gave students an A.
compute: to calculate or figure out.
example: The first question on the math exam asked: Compute the time it takes a train traveling at 60 MPH to reach a destination 60 miles away?
