passport: documents stating you are from a country, or a pass allowing you to travel.
example: My older sister is going to France with her class and needed to get a passport in order to travel there.
blanch: to become afraid which sometimes means that the blood drains from one’s face causing them to become pale.
example: My friends from the summer surprised me on my birthday and told me that when I opened the door and saw them I blanched and my face looked like I’d seen a ghost.
perched: to or stand atop something.
example: Josh perched cross-legged on top of the ladder and refused to come down.
