example:  I received a pen pal letter in Chinese and didn’t comprehend a word of it, until my neighbor translated it to English.

yearn: to want or crave something badly.
example:  I yearn all year for summer vacation because I get to visit my cousins who live on a lake.

disrupt: to interrupt the expected or regular way of doing something.
example: I disrupted the silence of study hall by dropping my thermos of water on the floor.
