The Great Holiday Debate

Holidays are always great,

about that there can be no debate.

My favorite is when my family gathers round,

To celebrate what grows and lives upon the ground.

But, if I had to vote,

It would not seem too remote,

To give turkeys an award,

For making Thanksgiving so adored.

Let's make turkeys feel more respected,

Often their importance is neglected. 

I think they grow up knowing that they might,

Be the center of a holiday delight,

As well as the symbol of the harvest blessings,

So pass the turkey and all the dressings
